In the SPOTLIGHT series, we shine a light on our favourite people and places. This month we take a closer look at TIFF MANUELL, Australian artist and designer...and maker of our favourite clutches!

We love this clever lady! Our relationship with Tiff goes all the way back to our early days in Singapore, when we launched our first business Things We Love - the precursor to The Punch List.  Tiff's unique, handmade clutches were exactly the sort of thing we couldn't find in Singapore - and exactly why we wanted them!

Each piece brings colour and happiness into the lives they land in. Tiff grew her namesake project from a dream to design and develop handmade products incorporating all of her passions - painting, making, sewing and more than anything, working freely with colour with no boundaries.

Tiff hand paints her bright and fresh art onto canvas, each canvas to be constructed into a limited number of high quality clutches and accessories by her small team in Adelaide, South Australia. The team works intuitively, often without any plans other than to go where their instincts for colour take them on any given day. The aim is to keep designs fresh and forever evolving.

It starts with an idea for a colour palette which can come from anywhere – from contemporary art styles and design movements, colours used in recent fashion collections or street art, gaining inspiration anywhere from Pinterest to a coloured door seen around the neighbourhood The season at the time can be influential too - it’s really up to the mood of the day.

The process used to create Tiff clutches is unique and ensures every single piece produced is completely individual. Each paint splatter or stroke falls a different way on the canvas, creating a different effect each time.
